Churned Herb Butter

Fresh Herb Churned Butter

Churning butter with a food processor takes the work out of the process. Use the fresh infused butter to flavor chicken and vegetables, or use to baste a steak while searing it on the grill.

Equipment

  • Food Processor

Ingredients
  

  • 2 c Herb Infused Heavy Cream (Rosemary or Thyme)
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt

Instructions
 

  • Gather ingredients.
  • Add ingredients to food processor.
  • Pulse processor, checking periodically, this example is not fully separated.
  • Continue to pulse until butter is completely separated from liquid and drain liquid.
  • Chill for a short time, and press remaining liquid from butter.
  • Continue to press out liquid and flatten butter on parchment.
  • Tightly roll butter in parchment or push into butter molds and refrigerate until use.
  • Slice the butter roll into single serviings or pop out the butter molds, allow to warm slightly.

Notes

Herb butter can be frozen to to later spread on bread or put on steaks, chicken, or used to  sauté vegetables.
