Fresh Churned Butter

Fresh Churned Butter is easy to make, especially with a food processor, or you can go old school with one of these great manual churners.

Fresh Churned Butter

Churning butter with a food processor takes the work out of the process.

Equipment

  • Food Processor (can use manual churner if preferred)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 c Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp salt add to taste

Instructions
 

  • Gather ingredients.
  • Add ingredients to food processor and
  • Pulse processor, checking periodically, this example is not fully separated.
  • Continue to pulse until butter is completely separated from liquid and drain liquid.
  • If using hand churner, manually beat the cream for about 10 minutes until butter is separated.
  • chill for a short time, and press remaining liquid from butter.
  • Continue to press out liquid and flatten butter on parchment.
  • Tightly roll butter in parchment or push into butter molds and refrigerate until use.
  • Slice the butter roll into single servings or pop out the butter molds, allow to warm slightly.
