Fresh Churned Butter is easy to make, especially with a food processor, or you can go old school with one of these great manual churners.
Fresh Churned Butter
Churning butter with a food processor takes the work out of the process.
Equipment
- Food Processor (can use manual churner if preferred)
Ingredients
- 2 c Heavy Cream
- 1 tsp salt add to taste
Instructions
- Gather ingredients.
- Add ingredients to food processor and
- Pulse processor, checking periodically, this example is not fully separated.
- Continue to pulse until butter is completely separated from liquid and drain liquid.
- If using hand churner, manually beat the cream for about 10 minutes until butter is separated.
- chill for a short time, and press remaining liquid from butter.
- Continue to press out liquid and flatten butter on parchment.
- Tightly roll butter in parchment or push into butter molds and refrigerate until use.
- Slice the butter roll into single servings or pop out the butter molds, allow to warm slightly.
