Homemade Pecan Pie
This recipe is transcribed from an old recipe card given to me by Betty Crawford, a wonderful woman and a wonderful cook!!! Great pie, no corn syrup!!!
Ingredients
Pecan Pie Filling
- 1 c Brown Sugar
- ½ c White Sugar
- 1 tbsp Flour
- ½ c Softened Butter 1 stick
- 2 ct Eggs beaten
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 1 c Pecans Pieces
- 5 ct Whole Pecans for the top of the pie
Pie Crust
- ½ c butter cold
- 1 c flour
- 2 tbsp ice cold water
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 350°.
- Combine Sugars and Flour Until Well Mixed.
- Add Eggs, Softened Butter and Milk and Mix Well
- Add Nuts to Mixture and Stir Well.
- Pour Mixture into Pie Crust.
- Place Pie on Cookie Sheet and Bake for 45 Minutes Until Center is Almost Set.
- Allow to Cool for 20-30 Minutes.
Notes
This pie is made using an old recipe that does not use corn syrup. It tastes great but most importantly, it was given to me by Betty Crawford, a wonderful woman and magic in the kitchen!!
