Homemade Pecan Pie

This recipe is transcribed from an old recipe card given to me by Betty Crawford, a wonderful woman and a wonderful cook!!! Great pie, no corn syrup!!!

Ingredients
  

Pecan Pie Filling

  • 1 c Brown Sugar
  • ½ c White Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • ½ c Softened Butter 1 stick
  • 2 ct Eggs beaten
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 c Pecans Pieces
  • 5 ct Whole Pecans for the top of the pie

Pie Crust

  • ½ c butter cold
  • 1 c flour
  • 2 tbsp ice cold water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven to 350°.
  • Combine Sugars and Flour Until Well Mixed.
  • Add Eggs, Softened Butter and Milk and Mix Well
  • Add Nuts to Mixture and Stir Well.
  • Pour Mixture into Pie Crust.
  • Place Pie on Cookie Sheet and Bake for 45 Minutes Until Center is Almost Set.
  • Allow to Cool for 20-30 Minutes.

Notes

This pie is made using an old recipe that does not use corn syrup.  It tastes great but most importantly, it was given to me by Betty Crawford, a wonderful woman and magic in the kitchen!!
