Honey Bourbon Barbeque Sauce

This is my favorite barbeque sauce. It is a little less tangy than store bought sauce but has a great spicy taste that lingers in your mouth. The bourbon’s alcohol burns off during the cooking so it is safe for all but you can exclude the bourbon, the taste is still great!!

Honey Bourbon Barbeque Sauce

A sweet and woodsy barbeque sauce with a spicy aftertaste.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 c Ketchup Homemade ketchup elevates the flavor!
  • ½ c Honey
  • ¼ c Molasses
  • 2 tbsp Bourbon (we use Longwood)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Liquid Smoke – Mesquite Flavor
  • ½ tsp Each Kosher Salt & White Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Each Smoked Paprika, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Chili Powder & Cayenne Pepper

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients in saucepan and simmer over medium heat until well blended.
  • Gather ingredients.
  • Add all ingredients to saucepan and simmer until flavors meld.
  • Allow to cool in pan, transfer to jar and refrigerate.
