This is the freshest cream taste I know, it is slightly sour – great with fruit or as a topping for cheesecake. Also great as a replacement for sour cream! Definitely worth the time spent getting it ready!!!
Creme Fraiche
Lighter and more dairy fresh than sour cream but used in the same manner.
Ingredients
- 2 c Heavy Cream Room Temperature
- 2 tbsp Buttermilk or Full Fat Yogurt Room Temperature
Instructions
- Gather Ingredients.
- Pour Heavy Cream into Glass Bowl.
- Add Buttermilk to Cream.
- Mix well until Buttermilk is evenly distributed.
- Pour equal amounts to 2 pint mason jars.
- Cover with breathable top and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, remove from jars to serving dish, salt as desired.
