This is the freshest cream taste I know, it is slightly sour – great with fruit or as a topping for cheesecake. Also great as a replacement for sour cream! Definitely worth the time spent getting it ready!!!

Lighter and more dairy fresh than sour cream but used in the same manner.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 c Heavy Cream Room Temperature
  • 2 tbsp Buttermilk or Full Fat Yogurt Room Temperature

Instructions
 

  • Gather Ingredients.
  • Pour Heavy Cream into Glass Bowl.
    Creme Fraiche Cream to Bowl
  • Add Buttermilk to Cream.
  • Mix well until Buttermilk is evenly distributed.
  • Pour equal amounts to 2 pint mason jars.
    Mixture to Mason Jars
  • Cover with breathable top and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
    Cover-Rest 24 hours
  • After 24 hours, remove from jars to serving dish, salt as desired.
